Water Pan

A long-handled dustpan is a godsend to ease the strain on your back with sweeping up spillages and messes on the floor.This tool feels sturdy and robust. The actual dustpan unit is made of rubber, thick but with a good degree of flexibility. The capacity is very generous and the flexible rubber of the front slope allows you to get a good seal against the floor to make sure that you sweep the rubbish INTO the pan and not under it! Because of the all rubber construction, this will work well for wet spillages as well as dry; with a squeegee, you can just swoosh the liquid up into the dustpan.The unit arrives with the handle detached. It is a standard metal tubular handle with plastic end figments; one end presses into the recess in the dustpan. Its not that difficult to get it in but, once in, it feels secure and I dont think you have to worry about the thing falling off the handle. The other has a plastic cap which has a hole in the top fo allow you hang the tool up when not in use, if thats convenient for you. On a nail maybe, or tie a string through the cap to be able to hook it onto any projection.The handle also seems robust and sturdy but the good thing about having the handle detachable is that, should you have an accident and bend or break the handle, you can just find a replacement and put the dustpan unit onto that.

This dustpan is nice and heavy and has a nice lip on the end. It is pretty nice in that it will keep liquids in because of the lip. It comes with a three-section handle. The rubber is very durable an this feels strong. The price is a little steep for a dustpan that does not come with a broom. It is nice but I think I could get two dustpans with brooms for the price of this one dustpan.

Shovels on a stick are not a new idea, but this model has an innovative stiff rubber pan that has a lip, creating a shallow bowl in the main part of the shovel.This means liquids can be forced into the pan, but they won't come back out, at least until the pan is full to the lips edge.However anyone who has used a dustpan for dust knows dust can perform like a liquid and just roll back out, so again this pan has that advantage for dry use too.The rubber while stiff has a degree of flex which is useful again, and should be easy to wash clean if need be.A very useful addition to a household or workshops armoury.
