Magic Dustpan

We used a dustpan at a condo we rented in Mexico. My wife thought that would be a good idea for us to use in Canada. As a result I search and found this one on Amazon. I like this one because the dustpan is made from rubber and will not break. It also hugs the floor so you can be sure that when you sweep things it will go into the dustpan rather than under it. As we are older this makes it so much easier to sweep the floor.

Good quality rubber, dont have to bend over. Its good, good value.

Ive had a couple of different ones over the years, but they dont compare with this one. There is a very slight smell of rubber, but nothing to worry about. It is perfect for use in the garden and driveway

Pick up everything I love it

I bought this this for use in the garden to sweep up leaves and flower petals, for which it is wonderful, as the rudder base is flexible and lies flat on uneven surfaces. It arrived quickly and was well packaged.

This product is easy to assemble and use. Just the right height, so no need to bend down when collecting the rubbish.

Lovely product! Stands on it's own which, honestly, is such a great feature particularly if dealing with unpleasant things (eg a dead bird). Means you don't have to get up and personal and you can brush into the dustpan and discard....both from a distance! Rubber design almosts 'seals' to the ground so no fear of missing any debris! Just perfect! Highly, highly recommend.

Easy to put together, hopefully will be hard wearing (I havent had it long enough to say), bought it for outdoor use in potting shed etc.to save bending.

The handle is very flimsy, it won't fit together properly as shown on the diagram. The dustpan itself is fit for purpose but will try to get anotherhandle. I was contacted by the company with the offer of a new handle. As I'd already sourced one I declined the offer, but appreciate the gesture. The dust pan is very good and with a new solid handle it does the job perfectly.

For the first time ever I have a dustpan that does not leave a ridge of dirt or dust on the floor. This dustpan flattens out so that it is easy to sweep everything up. Also, because it is a soft rubber there is not clanging on the garbage can when I empty it. It is light weight and great for a senior like me who has trouble bending.

I purchased this because I have mobility issues. I was a bit concerned at some of the reviews that said there was some warping of the pan, but mine arrived in perfect condition. It has some weight to it, so it lays perfectly flat on the floor, it doesnt shift around or slide away from the broom as Im sweeping into it which is a thing I have had to adapt for in other dust pans.The handle is just lightweight metal, probably aluminum, so it doesnt make the unit unwieldy overall.

Despite the pan being made of extremely flexible silicone, it is remarkably sturdy once you have put it to work. I am using this exclusively outside as, once used so, it seems wrong to bring it back into the cleaner environment of the house.It was put to use collecting leaves and sycamore seeds that I swept up from the patio and the thin rim worked extremely well, ensuring very little got swept underneath the rim. The only grains of dirt that went underneath got there due to the patio not being totally flat (it has a natural stone finish). Every leaf and sycamore seed was collected first sweep. I found I could lift the load and put it into a bucket without any problem.The handle comes in pieces and needs to be pressed and then screwed together. The resultant handle is long (you could omit a piece to make it shorter) and means you dont need to stoop. My only criticism is I would have liked a clip so any broom handle could be clipped to the pan, but that is minor.

I have never used a long handled dustpan before, never mind a silicone one and the difference both of these thing make is amazing. Not having to bend down and sweep rubbish into a pan is much easier on the back and whilst I thought that the long handle had the potential to offer less precision and accuracy, it turned out that this wasn't the case.However, it is the silicone pan which I think is the best part of this dustpan. Being flexible, it ensures that it always sits flush with the ground and that any dirt gets swept into the pan and not underneath it. However, it is important to note that whilst the dustpan is flexible, it isn't too flexible, such that the dirt falls back out of the pan when you lift it (fortunately, it remains in the pan).The shaft of this dustpan comes in three separate sections and in some cases, this can result in a wobbly shaft when it is all screwed together. That's not the case here and I wasn't able to detect that the shaft wasn't made from a single piece of metal. It's also very easy to assemble, although this is likely to be a one time job.In summary, I have to admit that this is a very impressive dustpan, which is easy to assemble and is fulfils the job which it was designed to do. However, it does seem a little bit expensive for what it is and so that is the only slight negative point from my perspective.

I like the rubber scoop; strong and does not rust or chip off so far!

I use this product to help sweep the dining room floor after meals & it works well. The dustpan doesn't smell, as some users have said. This tall dustpan is good for me a life has made it such that I can't easily bend down, but this is a good product as well.

I had bought I few dust pans over the years and the all broke because they are made from plasticFinally this product is made from rubber and it wont brake I love itI can say only one thing go buy one

This is a great gardening aid at this time of year as leaves etc start to drop on your paths. It stays upright so that allows you to vigorously push the leaves into thus dustpan.Only downside is that the pan could be wider but otherwise ideal.

This is a pretty good dustpan. It is decent quality and durable, it comes in parts, the handle in particular is in 3 pieces but assembles quickly and easily and attaches to the pan. It comes apart just as quick and easily as it is assembled so is ideal for storing. It is really easy to use, because the pan is rubber the edge goes flush against the floor and you can sweep and pick up dirt efficiently. It can stand up on it's own and the handle is plenty long enough to not have to bend much at all.The price is £22.99 (at the time of writing this review) which does seem a little expensive but is comparable to similar items. It is a good item and easy to use.

No trouble assembling. Stays together. Works as advertised. Nice wide pan. Can œfold bend to pour into narrower bin. I do think dust adheres to the silicon surface, but outweighed by how easily it can be rinsed. Very happy with it.

Im very happy with this product and definitely recommend it. Not having to hold the handle to keep it upright is much more convenient than I had anticipated! The only thing that could be improved is the locking system of the handle bar as it is constantly coming apart

Saves my back cleaning up outdoors

This is a brilliant product, my second purchase the first a cpl of years ago is still going strong.

Quality made and very sturdy. Picking up dirt is a breeze. Looks like it will last the test of time.

The quality of this dustpan is great, works much better than plastic ones and it's incredibly durable.Furthermore, as the handle is 3 segments that 'screw' into each other, it's very convenient space-wise.

When open the box, it seems a bit dirty. After checking it, it get the dust quite well. Assembly seems ok.

Finally I've found a dustpan that doesn't let the crumbs go under it! Its properly weighted too so it doesn't topple over, love this product!

Bought this to aid cleaning of hard floor it is indestructible as is made of rubber I use both outdoors and in it is great as I have back problems and saves bending. Would highly recommend this to anyone

Great duspan, by far one of the best plastic-free alternatives. Metal handle with rubber base, surprisingly sturdy. Hope will last for years. I wish price was more in line to plastic alternatives

This ought to be great. But it's not. The pan is made of rubber not plastic Everything sticks to it making the emptying of it a real pain. I still have to use a small brush from a normal dustpan to get the bits out which somehow defeats the object. It's not cheap either. I shall continue to use having bought but I don't recommend it.UPDATE Seller/manufacturer contacted me directly. They do one that isn't rubber and sent it to me complimentary. I have used it this weekend. It's much better than the rubber one and therefore I'm prepared to not only say thank you but also suggest others buy that one instead. It's not perfect but it does what is needed without stopping and that's good enough for me. I'm also upgrading to 4* BUT only for this new one NOT the original which I still stand by every word written.

It does what I expect it to do

I have always owned a rubber broom but never had I brought a pan to go alongside. Was a little hesitant but it is definitely one of my must haves now. Saves and bending, much easier and very durable!

The rubber edge is quite thin that allows maximum dust collection! Really a big fan of this dust pan.

A great dustpan, Im so glad I purchased it. Im forever sweeping the floor after my kids and the task has been made much easier since I purchased this (and a brush from the same company). Its very easy to hold and use and as its flexible and bendy, the rubbish falls straight into my bin instead of having to position it at an angle like my old dustpan where everything on the sides would fall to the floor! Id definitely recommend this product.

This is really easy to put together, the poke comes in 3 parts which just slot together. Easy enough to take apart of you need to for storage. Its really effective and works great.

Well made, easy to put together. Ideal if you struggle bending down. The only negative is that the tray is a type of rubber material so a bit floppy for collecting anything of any weight.

This is a brilliant design. I am fussy about cleaning kit, I like my gadgets to work at least as hard as do. I have used it in the house and the garden. I had a gully to clean out and normally impossible as normal dustpan doesn't bend into it. This one does! On the flat it removes every vestige of dirt by getting an excellent purchase /grip on any surface. It's also very sturdy and good long handle. It remains upright if you need to leave it whilst you sweep more. Very clever design.

I have been trying for ages to find a decent dustpan and have even resorted to the ones dedicated to horses but they're too big for domestic use. I found this one on Amazon and at first thought it a bit pricey for a regular dustpan but having wasted as much money on bad ones I thought I would try it. It's pretty amazing - easy to put together although I only need two parts of the handle but it does exactly what it says 'on the tin'. It has somehow been designed to do the job and it succeeds. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who would like to dustpan that really holds all the dirt and easy to sweep into because of the soft rubber lip.

Whilst this item ticks a lot of boxes with regard sturdiness and durability it's tricky to store as the dustpan itself is very large.

Just what I was looking for. Nice weight

This well made large grey flexible silicone dustpan has a metal rod running through it to give it rigidity. The lip remains tight against the floor when collecting the sweepings. The 3 part metal handle is very smooth and fits together by pushing the poles in forcefully then screwing the threads tight. The lowest part of the handle needs to be pushed in with some strength until the black plastic is out of sight. The whole pan is weighty and tacky enough to stay in position even standing on its own to allow two handed sweeping, which is great if you are not so strong. the whole unit is very easy to move about. The only down side is that dust sticks to the silicone pan and it is difficult to empty the pan. Also dust gathers and sticks underneath the pan. I guess the only solution is to rinse the pan with water.

This is the best long handled dustpan , I have severe back problems and find the rubber dustpan perfect to clear up afterr the dog. Would recommend this product.

My wife has limited mobility at the moment and bending down to use a coventional dustpan and brush can be uncomfortable.This is an excellent innovation as it means you can hold this in one hand and brush into it with the other. We use ours indoors on a hard floor, but you could just as easily use it outside.

This arrived promptly and was easy to put together.Already been used in the garden on the patio area and on the grass to get all the leaves up.I have an old back injury so bending is an issue also have an issue dealing with heavy items.This is light and thanks to the rubber dustpan it molds itself to the ground. I thought a silicone dust pan would be way better, no breaking like plastic nor rusting like metal but dust and hair stick to it constantly.I've used it for a few weeks hoping that it would get better but i'm ending up washing it after ever use.

There are two top most important things for me. First the dustpan has to be so close to the floor that the dust will go into it and not under it, and a very close second important point is, no more bending down after sweeping! It's great! Highly recommend it!

Good product and customer service

Much smaller than I thought, but that's my fault for not checking the measurements properly. This means it holds only a small amount of garden/patio detritus, so the broom has to be used sideways to get into the dustpan and it needs frequent emptying. It does however stand as it is supposed to, so useful to stop back ache. It is expensive for what it is particularly as I will probably need to buy something bigger as well.

Weird and rubbery, but comes with a storage bag and does not allow any debris to escape the pan. I am saving up for the rubber broom. I bet it is even better than the one I bought recently before I found this brand.

I like the fact that the Dustpan is made of what smells like proper rubber. It is very flexible and doesn't seem to leave that ridge of dust/dirt/crumbs like plastic ones. The only minor niggles are that they made the handle in three pieces no doubt for easier transportation/lower shipping cost but this means it's not as robust as a two-piece or single piece handle, it is expensive for what it is and it is quite small. I do like it but feel that it should be about half the price.

Great product. Handle the right length and well engineered so that it assembles from 3 pieces into one 1m handle by robust threaded connections. The rubber pick-up tray is heavy, well made and looks durable. However, all ruined because of a heavy high tack paper label stuck to the tray and impossible to get off. I have tried every solvent but I am left with a dustpan with a filthy ragged 2 square paper and glue smear that will not budge. When will manufacturers learn to use low tack stock if they must use a label!Update - manufacturers read my review, apologised and sent a replacement without a label, plus a free gift. Brilliant, responsive, generous, upgraded to 5 stars. I'm knocked out by this brilliant service!

I bought this dustpan after a very long search for this type of model. All the other models are low and have an envelope system I dont like at all. Finally I found a good, wide dustpan that does the job. Plus its made of rubber so it wont split like all the other hard plastic ones. This is heavy, so if you have arthritis or if you are very weak it wont be pleasant, But after a few days you get used to this. You cant swing it around like the others. Overall very happy and will be it again in a few years when this one dies off!

I discovered Tyroler cleaning products about a year ago, and after using them, and the Rubber Dustpan in particular convinced these are one of the best, and planning to use in future.

It's amazing. At first I hesitated. So much money on a dustpan? Well... after the silicone broom number five, this is the next must-have product. First of all, it stands alone and is very stable. It's close to the floor and you simply collect dirt to it and it doesn't move. It can hold a lot of dirt. So no, you don't need to empty it all the time. The only thing I have to recommend is if it gets wet, dry the bottom well before storing because the water won't dry. It's simply sealed when standing.

This dustpan is excellent, it's very flexible and not fragile (I have kids who play with it so this is important to me) it's very stable on the floor and you almost don't need to touch it to sweep dirt into it
