I love this product and I am amazed by how well it works, no streaks! My husband was really skeptical but I insisted that we buy the Tyroler. We have a 3 story home and our power-washer cant reach our upper windows and it had been 18 yrs with no outside wash. In five minutes I finished that first window. Wow! Worth every penny. Then I had a what Id call a freak accident on the third window as I the unit became dislodged from the window fell to the ground One of the magnets fell out of the unit and broke. I emailed the company asking if I could buy a replacement magnet and sent pictures. Their response was quick and a new D3 arrived within a week. Amazing customer service! I am so pleased with this company and my beautiful clean windows. My tip: remember my to use a lot of window cleaner on both sides!!

I had read some less than positive reviews so I wanted to share my own experience. I live in a New York high-rise and can barely reach outside our windows (child locks). I got this and figured I would give it a quick try. It was a bit tricky at first, you need to pay attention to how strong you adjust the magnets, too strong and it just sticks on the outside, not enough and you're very happy to have the string tied to something. I also noticed that much like any squeegee the most important things are lubrication and the path you take with the device. My first attempt was full of streaks and the device felt like I was going to lose it. Then I soaked the window and tried again, going slowly, paying attention to the motion I was making especially near the edges so I didn't knock it off, and using a S pattern that overlapped the streak left from the previous pass from left to right. This worked really well and I got to the point where I would just leave it on, squirt more window cleaner out on the window and move it in place to repeat.It took a while to master but by the end I had a really nice clean window, so much so I realized the inside was a disaster, cleaned that and it really surprised me how nice it looked.I really am happy with the product right out of the package and am looking forward to doing the rest of the windows in my apartment. I would say the most important thing is slow, steady, give yourself time to get the hang of it and use lots of fluid to keep it gliding. Don't let the two devices get far apart, if they are, slow down, or adjust the magnet strength so you're not pulling too hard on the external half of the device.

Sometimes it looses suction and falls off. The last one I had slipped from my finger and fell from the third floor to the sidewalk below. It broke on the sidewalk. I ordered another one because I was happy with the product despite it occasionally slipping from my finger. Those other times I was able to catch it before it completely fell.

This product worked exactly as described. I found it didn't clean quite as well as I can with a paper towel on low windows, and I had to move a little slowly with it to maintain the magnets at all times, but it enabled me to clean windows that I haven't been able to clean in decades! The last time I was able to get a ladder in through my flower beds and shrubs and bring a pail of soapy water to scrub the bird poop off my upper windows was 20 years ago. With this tool I could clean the entire window, and scrub the dirtier spots (that won't come off with a hose alone). I did drop it a couple of times, but the handy ring and string did their job perfectly and I could reel it back in and reattach it, no problem. I will have clean windows on my upper floors again!

Depending on the direction your windows slide open and how far, it can be a little trick to reach some spots. Otherwise it works great!

This product does just as it promises - it's a wonderful solution for double-glazed windows! It feels high-quality and works great.Do note - it does require some caution, as the magnets are extremely powerful, and can attract the two parts very strongly. That probably has nothing to do with that specific product - it's probably an issue with any product which is powerful enough to work on double glazed glass.Several tips for usage / buying:1. Buy the correct version for your window thickness (D2/D3/... etc.) - do not go for more than you need. Yes - a weak magnet will keep falling, but a magnet which is too strong will be harder to glide on the window. This product is of good quality - find the version that fits you and you'll be good.2. When placing the magnets on the window - DO NOT PLACE THEM AGAINST EACH OTHER. They will attract very strongly, and if you happen to use them on thinner windows - I suspect the shock might be quite strong for a thin window (that's another reason to buy the right version for your window thickness). Instead - place both magnets on the window - far from each other - and let them approach each other until they are stuck together. It'll save your windows from some unnecessary shocks. I read that one on another review - and it's a true and useful advice.3. When not on the windows - use the supplied separator, and try to keep the magnets (=your hands) away from each other so they don't stick together.4. RTFM. Especially - use enough spray / water on dirty windows, so the magnets can glide on them. Start from a wet part of the window so the magnet glides more easily.I hope it's helpful!

This is quite useful for windows where only one panel opens, or when the panel opens outwards. It didnt fully reach the sides and corners, which is why I didnt give it the full rating, but my windows were disgusting and now theyre presentable.However if what you have are sash windows, I dont recommend it, as I have not been able to figure out how to use it on the top panel of the window. If you open to reach outside, the lower panel covers the upper one, so no way to hold the outside magnet until you can close and stick the inside one. Doesnt mean that the product is bad, just not for your type of window.

It is a must have thing if you have some not easy to clean outside windows at home. But be very precise in measurements to get a right type of the cleaner. We ordered D2 first, but realized by practice we need D3 cause of our windows thickness. Seller was very helpful to get a right one instead, thanks for this! *we bought it as an alternative to a robot windows cleaner and that was defo a right thing to do for us with a better value for money.

We are you using the window cleaning tool. The tool works well. We can clean our apartment windows which we can now reach inside and out. We live on the fourth floor and could not reach the outside from the ground.

Needs a long handle

Based on other reviews, my expectations for this were fairly low. I thought there was a good chance it wouldn't perform as claimed, or that it would be an enormous hassle to use.So, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, actually, it's really quite good. No, it doesn't get right into the corners of the windows. Yes, it's a bit fiddly to set up. And yes, it will fall off the window now and then, particularly while you're figuring out how to set it up properly, or if you try and move it too fast.But, it's the only gadget I've found that's been able to satisfactorily clean our high sash windows. And so, overall, I'm happy.Finally, yes, it is expensive. But last time I got a professional window cleaner in, they charged £50 for our flat, but the long pole they use to access the windows wasn't adequate to clear off the several years of grime that had accumulated. So, compared to that, I suppose the cost isn't quite so exorbitant.

I have double windows everywhere. The kind that has 1 that remains fix and the other slides open. the window that slides open can be turned to create a 85 degree angle. then I am suposed to sit on the window sill and streatch out to clean the fixed one. I am getting to old for this and my arms are never long enough to get in the top corner. This magnetic window cleaner *the glider* made the job so much easier. I can actually stay in the house and clean the whole window withour danger.

It takes a little training and patience on your part but once you do it really is a game changer for cleaning outside windows that you could never do before. The customer service with Tyroler for helpful hints and generous warranty help the customer feel comfortable in purchasing.

Ive bought this gadget with low expectations and Ive been pleasantly surprised - it has worked and worked well. I practiced cleaning on the downstairs windows. The magnets are very strong and you must take care but very happy with my purchase. For upstairs I find it has cleaned the windows as good as the window cleaner and for the windows that are hard to clean and get to because of conservatory. It will pay for itself within a short period of time.

The description of the product made it appear easy to use single handed. In fact, without 2 people it could be quite frustrating at times. However, with 2 people, the results were impressive on the right thickness windows. I believe my sliding glass door was thicker than the specifications for this model. No matter how far I tightened it down, it still lost connection. Regardless of the window thickness, It seemed to work best when I only washed one side of the window at a time, using one piece of the 2 part system. When I used it that way the windows ended up with a sparkling finish.

My house has casement windows that I can't reach from the ground. They were so dirty and driving me bonkers. I did a lot of searching on Amazon and found this product. I'm really happy that I tried it. The magnets are super strong. Be sure not to get your finger between them like I did. OUCH! There is a warning on the instructions, but who really reads those? It doesn't get the windows completely spotless (or maybe that's just operator error because I'm not super meticulous), but it's good enough for me!

Used for large single pane sash windows which cant be reached from the ground. Occasionally lose magnetic contact if you try to turn corners too quickly and smears a little but otherwise works really well. Very pleased

Full disclosure: I received this product for evaluation through the Amazon Vine program.Honestly, I wasn't impressed. I have casement windows in my home which are difficult to clean from inside the house. I thought this might be a good solution. It worked, but only to an extent. The concept of the device is to couple inside and outside halves with powerful magnets. This item does come with an adustment mechanism on the inside part so that you set it for the proper force. It also came with a plastic gauge to help you determine the thickness of your window, but I'm not sure of the utility of that, since there's no real correlation to the adjustment mechanism.Be advised to ALWAYS set it for the weakest setting when testing it on your windows for the first time! These magnets are no joke, and are sufficiently powerful to crack your window if you have them set to the highest force and don't have a good grip on the device when you first attach it!The general instruction is that you wet both sides of the window with a cleaning solution, then use the device with the built in squeegees exposed. Then you attach the included microfiber cloths and do a second pass to clear any remaining droplets.In actual practice, as the window begins to dry, the squeegees start to drag and skip, and the magnets can actually slip. Luckily there is a lanyard for the outer portion, but on my first try the out portion became dislodged and slammed into the house, denting the siding.Adjusting the magnets is an art. There's a very narrow sweet spot where you get enough force that the window gets cleaned, but not so much that the device binds up.Overall, it takes a lot of practice to get a good result, and if the magnets slip and the outer device falls it can certainly cause some damage even though it's attached to a lanyard. If I had paid full price for this item rather than receiving it through the Vine program, I almost certainly would have returned it.

It took some time to get the hang of but after that it worked wonderfully. I pretty much only used it with the microfiber cloth and on both sides and I would spray with windex, wipe, wash off gunk from cloth in sink and repeat until perfectly clear!

Tyroler Ltd is a very good company. However, this product is not for my window. it's falls outside of the window as soon as i apply.

So impressed! My upper floor windows are 30 feet from sloping ground and no one wants to come and clean my windows. This is a bit fiddly but I'm sure I'll get better at it and does a great job on the windows. You must be able to get a good coating of cleaner on the outside of the window though for it to work. The tension can be adjusted so fit snugly and really clean the window and the micro fiber cloths finish the job.

I got the magnet right the first time and I am so glad I made this purchase

This is perfect if you live in a house with 3rd story, very hard to reach with a pole from the outside windows! I love this contraption and I can't believe no one has thought of it before! It works wondrously when you follow the instructions to a T. SO, MAKE SURE YOU READ THEM!

Sloppy assembly, cheap materials. No recycling identifier on plastic. No Country Of Origin information. Screw rods out of true (ie. Bent) . Screw threads clogged with hardened adhesive. The mystery plastic body is weak and brittle. (Don't drop it!) Overpriced.

This product is excellent for cleaning upstairs windows that cannot be reached from inside. Easy to use once you get used to it and produces very good results.We had a problem with the product, contacted Customer services and a replacement product was sent immediately.An excellent product with superb customer service.

They are doing construction across the street the property decided Not to clean the windows until construction is over. I couldnt take it anymore bought this and cleaned 2 years worth of dirt off the window. Excellent product windows are clean .. there are some streaks because the way our building was constructed so it was hard to reach across the outside to place the magnet. I would recommend a skinny extension tool so you can place it in the outside of hard to reach spots. We have sliders with no balcony so we cant get out there to clean.

Be careful and be sure you have the right application for this window cleaner because it is a big investment. It did not perform the way I would have liked, however there may be uses other than mine where it may perform the task. We are going to continue to use it in different scenarios on some of our other properties, mainly because we paid so much for it.

Works really good. I had the stronger one for the thicker pane of glass and it was awesome. Thought Id try the lighter one and it works good as the other type. Love the string as it has dropped a couple of times and dont need to worry.

This tool works very well for cleaning windows that aren't easy to get to from the outside. Of course you need to be able to open your window and reach outside your window to place the tool and spray the cleaning solution you are using. If you can't do both of those easily, then this tool isn't magic and not sure why anyone would knock it for not being magic.With large cleaning surfaces, it cleans quickly on windows and doors. the con here is if you want to use it on your car (like I wanted to), it's not the ideal tool for that.

This tool is a great idea in theory but not as great in practice. I used it for the first time today and it does work but takes patience and practice. Use the tether string - YOU WILL DROP THE OUTSIDE MAGNET. Buy a package of microfiber cloths and attach the cloth to the outside magnet with safety pins so you don't have to spend time picking the cloths up off the ground when you're finished. The 2 cloths in the package are great but not enough for dirty windows. This tool provides a solution that no other tool has so I'll keep it. Just have to hope I get better at using it.

Husband won't stop talking about the windows he cleaned with it, the process. the magnets, the windows he can't wait to do. A bit overenthusiastic. When I told him to get a hobby I didn't mean this but at least I don't have to be concerned if my windows will be clean.

I recommend the adjustable magnet version. Different thickness windows require a different amount of magnetic pressure on the outside unit. You have to experiment to determine what works best. Where feasible I found it quicker to apply a weak dish detergent (not dishwasher detergent!!) with a lambs wool pad. The squeegees do a credible job of removing the detergent from the glass. Slow down and take care on the turns. If you run the outside unit off the glass you can separate it from the inside unit. Always use the safety cord on the outside unit. Expensive, but a credible solution for an otherwise difficult task.

Once I got the hang of using this product, I was very happy with the results. We have a lot of hard to reach glass in our condo, and this system worked well to clean every window and glass surface that we had. You do have to learn how to use this product, as I said. You may get your fingers pinched a few times before you figure it out. Overall, would recommend.

Worth every penny

This product was disappointing in that it was cumbersome to use; and I could only reach about 90% of the outside window's surface.

This is good for hard to reach windows. It takes a few uses to get use to the necessary pressure needed to clean your windows. The set up was simple. I recommend getting extra blue clothes because when they get wet its harder to dry the windows.

I wasn't sure about this product from the mixed reviews but I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did. I live in an old building where the developer put in secondary glazing and to my frustration, the glass was installed dirty and I've been looking at builders handprints for years now as I couldn't reach into the space to clean it.I ordered the single glazed window glider and it worked so well, I just made sure I followed what other people have said - make sure you use lots of soapy water for the cleaning and the glider will easily move around and clean your windows. I would highly recommend it, it did such a good job and was very easy to use.

Takes a bit of practice, once you get the hang of t it does a fairly good job

Used to clean upstairs 22mm double glazing. I would suggest a garden sprayer to spray proper window cleaning detergent solution is a useful addition. Don't need to wet inner surface if clean - just a microporous cloth. With a little practice you can get a perfect result.

It lets you clean windows outside out of reach, however, you have to ensure that it is for the right thickness of window & make sure that the windows & the cloth cleaners are wet, otherwise the magnet will have a hard time gliding. Overall, it solved my window cleaning problem.

Open the box look promising until I try it without the cloth on the window it just keeps dropping off maybe because the rubber isnt straight as it has a slight off alinement so prevents it from gliding smoothly. But I have a way of straightening it out luckily. Must of got a defeated one. To late to send back now got it a while ago. Oops!

Amazing thing of you get the right strength for the thickness of your window! I bought myself the wrong one and those people send me a stronger one after and it works amazingly!!! Love it!! Highly recommended!!

An extremely robust and strong window cleaning device but so fiddly to use.When my son and daughter used this my daughter managed to trap her fingers which brought tears to her eyes!Once you get it going it works quite well and makes upstairs windows much easier to clean.But if it drops off you have to retrieve it.I was shocked at the price I just wouldn't pay that for this item. A window cleaner with a ladder would be cheaper and not so painful

Before approaching my big, hard to reach 2-nd floor window, I did practice on my patio door first. Once I was confident, I washed my big window and WOW! It is now spotless, OMG! Took a few passes with squeegee and then a few with the cloths, but it is soooo clean now!I would, however, note that:1. Having some experience with normal squeegee in your hand helps a lot!2. If you happen to have a helper (I had my husband), do ask him to control the thread. I was concentrated on the cleaning process more and this thing is HEAVY and it flies and swings when contact is lost! Be very careful and keep the thread as short as possible!3. Do this on a cool / rainy day so the soapy solution does not evaporate from the outside pane too fast and work as fast as you can to maintain both sides of the glass lubricated at all times. The thing may fall if it can't glide!!It was outrageously expensive at 172.45 (incl. tax), but I am keeping it anyway because now I can have a clean window not just once a year when the whole condo gets window washing service, but any time I want! Having clean windows at the beginning of the summer is nice, but washing off all summer bugs and spiders before winter is amazing!

If you are looking for a way to clean the outside of windows on an upper floor with no ground access, this is an okay way to go. But there are a few caveats.- There is a bit of a learning curve with it - so the first windows might not be so easy.- Be careful with the thickness adjustments. Too loose and it won't clean well, to tight and well you could crack your window. Start on the loose side and then tighten to wear it feels right.- If you have larger sliding windows (where half of the window slides open) it can be difficult to get this on the non-sliding half of the window. It's easier with 2 people for windows like this but it's still not easy.- If you have windows that tilt or open in/out - it's much easier.If you have the right kind of windows, this is a pretty good tool for cleaning them.

it really works!

I have some hard to reach windows in my home/university room, this cleaner is able to clean both of them safelyThe magnets pull the two sides together and spraying cleaning product on both sides lets the cleaner glide over the windows and then clean them properly.There is a bit of string attached to the outside section, so even if it does fall off, you will still have hold on it.It is unfortunately a little too expensive for me to recommend unless there is nothing else you are able to do

Very strong magnets that hold the external half of the cleaner to the internal half very strongly. Easy to manipulate when cleaning a window.

Secondary glazing can be difficult to remove for cleaning. This magnetic cleaner is a good alternative.If I was to purchase again, I would opt for the next more expensive item.

The Tyroler works pretty good. I have double glazed windows and the magnets kept losing contact. Lucky for the string. I did notice it works better when both sides of the glass are wet with water and/or window cleaner, it glides much easier but still does loses grip. As another customer mentioned in the comments. It works better with slower intentional movement. With that said my windows look wayyy cleaner and better than before. I live in a high rise building with ceiling to floor windows. The windows don't open wide enough to use long or short handle window cleaners effectively. And besides using this product I am not sure what other method I could have used besides hiring an expensive window cleaning company. I'm content with the results.

Living in NYC, dirty windows are a part of the view. Now, finally I have clean windows without having to hang out of the window to clean it! Its very easy to use the device and it makes the windows sparkling. Our windows are very thick and the seller was very helpful in suggesting the right cleaner that would work for our windows. Great product!

We basically live on the third floor and bought this gadget to clean our big living room window. I looked at other options and decided on this one even if its much more in price. I didnt want to deal with it falling off my window or not cleaning my windows throughly.Totally worth it!I havent been able to clean this window in years. All that rain and sunshine has caked the dirt on the window. This cleaned my window with no problems. I read the directions beforehand to make sure to use it correctly without having issues or breaking something.I do have suggestions that might help¦1. If your window is very dirty I would suggest wetting the little blue towels in soap and water. (Both sides or just the dirty side)This will make sure both sides glides in the window. This is what I did.2. Make sure you go slow. The whole point is taking your time.3. If you want to make sure the window gets clean throughly rinse the blue towels a few times. Promise it will be worth it.4. Finally when you think the window is clean spray both sides with windex.5. Last step is taking off the towels and using the squeegee feature.These are just my suggestions and how I did it myself. I love to clean and was pleasantly surprised with this handy gadget. Its great quality and worth the price because I know Ill use it again and again :)

I was hopeful, and skeptical. Turns out, this works great. I'm impressed by the design and practical usage. I would like more cloths, however, but they seem to be unavailable.

It does as advertised, am so happy with my purchase though I still believe it could be less expensive!

I'm not a fan of the thing but for it beats climbing a real unstable ladder. You still have to be able to speak the outside of the window with soapy water and it's needs lots to be able to close across the window you also have to do this inside at the same time quick enough that outside status wet enough. The microfiber cloths aren't great, the only contact is on the edges of the squeegee rubber. And they don't like to start on it unless super tight. I cannot get the windows as clean as I want with this but it better than not cleaning then at all.

Received the magnetic window cleaning tool with highly efficient delivery service. Tried this product straight away and I find it brilliant that it helped me clean upstairs outside windows conveniently. Highly recommend!

This is a good product, but requires a little learning and caution to get the hang of it. I gave up on using it with just the rubber strips as they left a lot of gaps. For me, it was best to always use the microfiber covers. We have the correct model for our 8mm thick glass. We are on the 5th floor facing the ocean. For us, plain water worked best on the outside. I may try adding some RainX or vinegar. Caution: As they warn, be careful not to let the panels snap together and pinch you finger - the risk is real.

Magnetic grip not good for triple glazed windows

Fabulous!Have 2 high windows with a sloping below that even the window can't get to. Excellent. Took 3 mins to clean the window to a good standard and far safer than crawling out onto the window cill to do the best I can manually. Bought the strongest magnets, just in case and never came apart

You receive a heavy gadget which is for cleaning the windows outside from the inside, I thought these would be good, as we live in a large 3 story house and its hard to clean the windows.The idea is these are magnetic, and clamp together, you then move them from one side, and the other side is cleaned.Principal sounds great, in practise I struggled, they do not glide smoothly on the glass, if you really soap the windows, to a point of greasy soaped, it will glide better, but then it doesnt pick up all the soap, Less soap and it judders all the time on the glass.A very mixed result with this, I really wanted it to work but failed most of the times.

High quality product. Very strong magnets. It takes practice to learn how to use it.

Ive used a lower power Tyroler but with the new hurricane 20mm thick windows I decided to try the D4. This product worked perfectly! The dirtiest window required, two cleanings, and then the microfiber cloths finish the job. I would highly recommend this if you have hurricane thick windows, but go with a D4 as you can dial the magnet strength. And as the directions advise, do not connect the 2/2 directly opposite each other as you could risk cracking the glass. They recommend offsetting them and slide them together, which worked perfectly.

Great product. Very easy to use. Just make sure that the blue pads are wet. Rinse well and spray with Windex. The magnets are extremely strong so keep it apart 10 inches or it will snap your fingers.I ordered late afternoon and it was by my door at 5 AM. Its worth every penny!

Worked to a certain extent but sadly did not live up to my wifes expectations, still had to hang out of the window and polish away the streaks!

Easy to use

My husband wanted this for cleaning the windows in our apartment since they aren't accessible from the outside, and I was skeptical because I thought that the cost was ridiculous. Well, he bought it and I have to say I have completely changed my mind. This tool is absolutely the best one that we have tried for our windows. It is easy to use, you don't have to worry about dropping it, and (most importantly) it cleans the windows without leaving streaks and smudges. It takes a few minutes to adjust the magnet and you have to clean in the s pattern top to bottom. Another thing that you need to keep in mind: you should place the inside and outside pieces apart from each other, then slide them on the window until they meet and the magnets hold to prevent your window from breaking since the magnets are really strong.

I had a hard time getting this to work. It kept dropping and even hit my neighbor's window. It's not great for single-side sliding windows. It takes practice, but I couldn't get good results. I would not recommend it.

This is a super idea if you live in an upstairs flat, as I do, as it can enable you to clean your windows on the outside without risking life and limb. That said, it is definitely a product where you have to read and follow the instructions carefully and don't rush things, while you get used to setting it up and using it. It is a bit fiddly but I found that by taking it one step at a time and, especially when you are setting it up on the window, being careful to check every step, and ensure that the two halves are holding securely as you adjust the magnets. Once they are set up, you are good to go. The cleaning ability is directly linked to how easy it is to get window cleaner onto the window, but with a good grip between the two halves, you can do a pretty decent job and it sure is better than not being able to clean them at all. The main issue with the kit is that it is really rather expensive.

So I was offered to try this and I figured it would be super handy if it worked well, but having persisted with it for a while now Im not entirely sure about it. On the one-hand it does work fairly well provided you have wetted both sides of the glass beforehand. Its not easy at all to get a really good finish as you cant really get into the corners or have full control of the movement as you have to find a route to navigate the glass without coming off. The glass thickness of my windows is fine, and its not so large as to be impractical for the size of our windows. But then it is a bit tricky having to hang the outer part via the connecting string and keep hold of it. It is particularly tricky/impossible if you have top-hinged windows. I am also nervous about the potential damage and scratches that could result if the out part slips or falls. Having just had new windows put on at the back of the house that were not cheap I dont know if Im comfortable risking it.For a price of c. £68 (at time of review) that also doesnt really feel right for what you get. I may persist with it for the downstairs windows and the more accessible ones, but ultimately Im not entirely sold on it.

I'm 63 years old and anytime that I can stay off from a ladder is a win. This product takes a little practice, but once you get it, it works great. Best invention ever. I love clean windows, and I have sliders, the only way to get to the outside, was by way of a ladder. Cleaning windows was a day long process dragging the ladder and climbing to the second story. Now I can clean them at my leisure. Make sure you get the right size. I had to send the first one back and reorder. I have the D-2. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought the next one up from mine (adjustable window cleaner). But mine works great. Five stars all around.

Initially purchased the wrong model for our windows and contacted the customer service team to enquire about returning and reordering the correct model. 2 emails and I was assured that the correct model would be arriving within a few days. In fact, the item was received the same day!The product is easy to use and the magnetic is strong enough to ensure the whole window can be cleaned without having to replace and adjust!

First of all, the magnet on these bad boys are dangerous , keep your fingers away , and make sure to slowly put them on the window, it's no joke!It worked exactly as shown, except that you will have to play around by customizing it.For my exterior window, they worked like a charm, a little bit of soapy water and they go.As for my interior house window, the magnet are too strong as they open the window upon trying to slide it. So what I meant by customizing it, is what I did by adding some tissues (scotch towel/rag) to kind of stopped the magnet from holding on to each other so hard. It did the job, but you have to be creative and make it work for you. I really like this product as I live in a third floor condo, where the outside window are basically impossible to reach.I believe it's really expensive for just some magnet and plastic/rubber to clean the window, but i believe it's a product i'll keep forever, and make the best use of in the long term.EDIT/UPDATE : After using this product for almost a year, I've got the hang of it. I still have to customize it because the magnet are still crazy strong!I've been contacted by the owner, which he was kind enough to message me and help me with my issue. I only saw this message as of now, a year after because I never looked at my inbox.I believe it deserves a mention for the professionalism and amazing customer support from the company! Superb tool for cleaning your upstairs windows, you need to take your time though, try not to rush and youll be pleased with result. Tricky to reach the corners but with perseverance youll master it. I keep thinking of all the money I am saving not paying a window cleaner! Watch-out for the magnets as the description says, theyre very strong! You can adjust distance of magnets with the green screws on top.

Works well if you are careful. Not easy with double hung windows as you have to switch things over every pane, but beats hanging out hoping you don't fall! (Might save timr to have two, now that I think about it...)

The first one I bought was the starter one the black one because I thought that it would do my windows but with it was to weak. It only does up to 18mm window. My window are just standard. I found out after I bought the product. So I bought the next one up the blue one and it works brilliant. Definitely worth buying the blue heavier one.

Not sure about this one. Seems a little cumbersome to use and you need to twist the knobs just right to keep the tool from slipping. Once I got the hang of it, it seemed to do a pretty good job. I think it would be great for upper floors of homes with windows that you otherwise would not be able to reach. Otherwise I think it might be easier to just do them the old fashioned way; one side at a time. Love the idea though! And it does work good, ONCE you get the hang of it!

Brilliant, Because our back window is over a conservatory weve never been able to clean it for about 20 years. That just changed. A touch expensive but worth it.

The product works as advertised and makes cleaning windows so much easier. We live on the 9th floor and recently had new Sheer floor to ceiling windows installed. Unfortunately, these were not easy to clean with just a pad and squeegee. The angles are weird and leaves too many streaks. However, using this product the windows came clean and almost streak free. However, we did need to use a long grabber tool to hold the outside portion to the middle window pane while a second person attached with inside magnet to it. It is definitely a 2-person job for the middle window pane. Only 1 person is needed to the other window panes. The window needs to be very wet with Squeegee Off Window cleaner to obtain a streak free result and don't let it dry out. We wish we had bought this tool years ago because it make cleaning the window so much easier. Watch the videos and be careful closing the tool not to get your fingers caught in it.

I think I need to adjust my expectations, its not the same when I use compare with what I see on the adv or TV:)It does the job, but just keep falling.

I use this to clean the windshield of my boat, which is tough to get to. The magnet are surprisingly strong. I would recommend this product.

First of all, right out the gate, I was smart enough to purchase the right size for my 16mm thick double pane sliding windows for my 4th floor apartment. So we're good there.From an engineering standpoint, this device works as intended.But does it really clean the windows good?I give it a 5 out of 10Pro tip:GO slow, vertical and horizontal, never diagonal.Also to note, it really helps the windows to be very wet...I prefer a mixture of Windex and vinegar.It cleans better when the windows are really wet.However, that comes at a price.You will damp-out your cloths really fast and they are not as effective when it comes to cleaning...they get dirty quick. So be sire to order extra cleaning cloths so you can quickly change them out.I am still learning this thing but so far not overly impressed. I think I can do some things, such those mentioned here, to help raise the bar on the cleaning efforts.

It will work very well for sliding windows but not so good for double hung colonial windows. To hard to use.

I bought the D-3 version and found the tolerance of window thickness was a bit tight and was struggling to get it to hold on the window so I rang tyroler customer service and the were amazing even on Sunday there was support and they sent a replacement 2 days late! 10/10 customer services.

This window cleaner is like magic. Worked perfectly in my single glazed windows. Would highly recommend. Make sure you put plenty of liquid on the inside and outside of the window before you start! Nice touch that you receive cloths as well for polishing off the windows after you've cleaned.

Bought this for storefront windows which have metal bars bolted which makes it extremely difficult to wash the windows on the inside. The one side fit perfectly behind the bars so that they could be cleaned properly without removing the security bars. Great product

I was ordered a D3 for a present which was given to me after Christmas, after measuring my windows, they came in at 24-25mm, which was in spec. unfortunately the magnetic force just wasn't man enough and there was a problem with the blades. It didn't clear the glass and kept falling off. I contacted customer services by email on a Sunday morning. They replied, and we had a conversation by email throughout the day. They said I needed the top model, the D4, to do the job, at no extra cost. The following day, Monday afternoon, it arrived. Absolutely fabulous customer service, and it really did the job.Thank you Tyroler.

Doesn't work very well. The squeegee edges are pretty thin and kept folding over after cleaning two average size windows (24x36). ended up scratching the exterior window and may have to replace it. would have to clean the same window 4 times before it was actually clean, since the mirco-fiber was so thin. Would've been better with a sponge attachment. magnets were strong, but was cleaner itself isn't very ergonomic so its easy to disengage the magnets moving the unit side to side.UPDATE: Although I had issues with this product, the company reached out and really went above and beyond in helping to make things right.

Get the heavier one-I got lighter one and magnetic side doesnt hold-constantly starting over-I do like it for washing our balcony sides

I think this work great on windows, except some. My windows open bottom up. Cleaning the bottom part is easy. The top part, it didn't work. Amd since I live on the second story, I can't remove the screen either.

The outdoor windows are very difficult to clean since it's beyond the reach of our ladder and can get decently dirty especially as the birds migrate and hang around the feeders outside. The product is very simple to use and allows you to clean both sides of the window simultaneously, making it efficient as well as convenient. The product has not left any annoying streaks after using and allows me to fully clean the exterior of the window without putting myself in a dangerous or uncomfortable position. The materials used are also pretty high quality, and the magnet is adequately strong and has not led to an accidental dropping yet.Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.

The unit feels solid - good quality. I found the knobs to set the amount of 'grip' were too loose and rotated when using the tool such that the unit either gained too much 'grip' and stuck, or lost the grip that was set and fell off - they should have a means of locking them in place (or just be stiffer to operate so catching them with your hands in use does not tend to rotate them.

Id always wanted to try one of these. I have to admit, it took me a little while to get the hang of it, but once I did I found it to be ok. More of a wipe than a washer of that makes sense. Does a decent job and good value for money. Perhaps with more practice I will get better use out of it!

It sorta works. Glad I bought it. Cleaned a couple of filthy inaccessible high rise windows and did a decent job. Agree with instructions - you use the terry finishing cloth wet with dish soap if the window is very dirty. By the second wash the window is surprisingly clean. If you wash a third time it would be even better but the product is clumsy to use and I got tired and moved on to the next window. If the window isnt too dirty would work ok on the first pass. Get both sides of the window soapy and wet, otherwise the squeegee side will drag and you may loose magnetic coupling. Plan on the product flopping off at least two times per window. Thats clumsy, noisy and frustrating. I was careful to anchor the tether cord securely, and to pull in the slack of the cord as I worked. When the product loses connection and flops off - it will bang the wall surface below the window. I dont think the housing is heavy enough to break the windows of downstairs neighbors if you dont reel in the slack. . We have single pane 5mm windows so I ordered the smallest model. They give you a calipers in the box to measure exactly and instruct you to contact them if the magnets dont hold. I see the bigger magnets are more online - not sure how their customer service would reconcile. I have a couple of lateral slider windows that you cant reach to place the outside cleaner. I jury rigged a pole with Velcro- stuck the pole and outside component out the window, and caught it with the inside magnet - it worked fine. Yes, I am that guy. Our window frames are metal and the magnet of the product tended to flop on the edges. The sweeping motion shown in the videos takes a lot more effort than it shows - the product takes more force and attention than you think. Making sure both window sides are very wet reduces this effort. I was very surprised how clean the windows became. The edges werent great but I gave up after two passes. Ill keep the item and use it once a year maybe if the building window washers are late and the windows are driving me crazy.

Cleaning nearly 30 windows on a 2.5 story home can be overwhelming. I needed a solution as window cleaning companies don't seem to be interested in residential properties. While I periodically cleaned the inside windows, the outside were neglected for a couple of years. The build up and film were disgusting.I purchased the Tyroler for my double paned windows as well as the Squeege cleaner. The magnets are incredible strong and do not move with ease. Heed the warning not to put your fingers between the two magnets. They are very hard to separate as they clap shut. I think the squeege could have been more substantial in depth and quality of material. This would have made the cleaning considerably easier.Results: The window are as clean as I could imagine. It was still hard work but easier than climbing a ladder to that height. The cleaner Squeege is essential as well as a micro cloth. Tyroler should have supplied an additional refill for this. Is this a one day and done job? No. I found I needed to go back with the micro cloth to remove streaks. Did it satisfactorily resolve the problem with reach and not having tilt in window? Yes.Recommendations for Tyroler: Improve the quality of the squeegee and I think you would have a far superior product to offer at this price. This item sat in my cart for several months as I did not want to bite the bullet to purchase. The price still daunts me.

This makes cleaning my windows so much easier! I used to have to hang out of my windows to clean them or hire window washers that would hang out my window. Cleaning the windows was a huge production removing a screen bug next and then having someone spot me. Now it is really easy. I just spray bolth sides and then add cloth attachment wipe again then Im done. I can clean each window in under 10 min which for my home is a big improvement. I would also highly recommend this version since you can adjust the strength of the magnets!!!

Not good for my purpose my windows are 18 mm-20mm.if your windows are similar size,possibly go for next strength magnet .

Cleaning windows on the second floor of our home has always been a big process. Pull out the ladder, clean the outside and then clean the inside as a separate step. After being in our home for 30 years it was getting to be too much for us (do not like being on ladders that high these days). In addition there were always some streak marks left behind. We used this tool today and it is easy and amazing! Cleans the inside and outside at the same time with ease! And NO streaks. I should get a kick back for this daunting review! Do not hesitate to buy it works like a charm!

It was great at first, I used it twice but one of the magnets fell out. The magnets are so strong that I inadvertently pulled out the other magnet which means they are both stuck together so cant be used anymore. If I could replace the magnets Id give it another go.

This cleaner does what it promise, makes cleaning both sides of the window way easier. The magnets are strong and stay connected even on thicker glass. Once you get the hang of it, it glides smoothly and leaves fewer streaks than expected. Its a bit tricky at first to control, but with practice, it becomes a real time-saver. It's a great tool to have when you can't open your loft window enough to even put your hand through. It took me a couple of tries to get the technique but I was a pro by the second window The clothes are also very handy to get rid of those streaks

We live on a 6th floor and have huge windows. Consequently, this tools really found our appreciation. Unfortunately, it is not as easy to use as advertised. It cleans, but leaves quite some streaks. Furthermore, the textile cloth that comes with it is terribly flimsy and replacement has prohibitive pricing.

I have used this to great effect on my difficult to reach windows, it's a bit more expensive but good results with mine.

This window cleaner does work but its more difficult than the traditional method. I will use it on my second floor windows but not on the first. I purchased the model for double panes because I have a mixture of double and single. If you have mostly single panes buy the weaker model because it will be easier to use. If you have windows that are impossible to reach from the outside its a good deal. But your window must be able to open at least a crack

A bird left a mess a couple of months ago, so Ive been searching for an easier way to clean my second story windows. As it was 35 degrees here in Michigan today, I had to try out my new device on at least 1 window before the return by date came and went. Lol! I have double pane windows and the magnet did hold. The window cleaning solution was freezing up a bit in these temps and Ill definitely need practice with my œS shape, but It looks to be promising! Ill keep it.

The window glider S1 didn't work for us, but after emailing the company and explaining the issue, they were very helpful and immediately solved the issue by sending another product which should work better (waiting for it as of today, will update when it comes). I have dealt with many companies and Amazon itself for many years, but Im amazed at how quickly and efficiently Tyroler have dealt with this.

The unit was purchased to clean both the interior and more importantly exterior of a glassed in operator booth in a dusty manufacturing facility. We have used this equipment 'dry' to remove dust accumulations on the exterior glass of the booth. In addition, when the glass surface becomes dirty with moist grime and finger prints we then spray the exterior glass surface from 20' below with a pump sprayer followed by the units squeegee. Once the grime is removed we attach the dry rags to remove any residual moisture. This leaves the glass surface dry, clean and streak free. It does take some effort in the beginning to find a rhythm to the process that works for your specific cleaning process but once you get it down it works great. The adjustable strength to the magnets is an awesome idea, our Tempered Safety glass is 1/2 thick and we have to reduce the grip strength significantly to allow for easier movement.

So i really do like this product, however it's difficult to know how big your double glazing is, it worked for my sister's windows but not mine. It also worked very well for the car.It has adjustable suction which great.£70 seems very steep for me, unless it's the only way that you can clean the outside window or you're cleaning professionalally.It comes with a safety loop for your finger, so you don't have to worry about the outer piece falling on someone's head, it does drop every now and then, but that is fine.It comes with only 1 set of microfiber cloths, ideally you need at least 3 per clean, as they get too dirty, and the other windows won't be cleaned as well.

Havent used it yet but thought the cloths are inadequate
